The Santa Suit – Mary Kay Andrews – ✨Review✨ 5/5 stars

Opening the first page of a new MKA book makes my heart happy! I’m excited to be kicking off my holiday reading with this short ‘n sweet, 224 paged little gem, The Santa Suit. My first holiday book of ‘21.

Ivy Perkins, along with her English setter Punkin, and chicks Ivy refers to as “the girls,” moves from Atlanta to North Carolina for a fresh new start after her divorce. Fulfilling her dream of owning an “older white farmhouse,” she buys sight unseen, a 106-year-old white farmhouse with a barn on two acres. She finds it needs a lot more work than she’d expected. She’s greeted by her realtor Ezra Wheeler who is not what she’d expected either. He’s not old but around her age, kind and overly helpful, and yes, very nice looking. When going through the previous owners things, she finds a red velvet Santa suit with a note in the pocket. The note is a mystery pulling at Ivy’s heartstrings. It leads Ivy on a hunt to see if the little girl who wrote the note to Santa, got her wish. The Santa Suit is an inspiring story of finding your creative spark, of friendship, bringing joy to others, and finding lost family and love in the most unexpected places. It’s a fun holiday novella full of Christmas spirit — I absolutely loved it!
