Hallowe’en Party – Agatha Christie – ✨Review✨4/5 stars
Book #41 in the Hercule Poirot series.
This story begins on All Hallows’ eve and follows the murder of a thirteen year old girl who boasts about witnessing a murder a few years back. No one believes her, she’s a child known for telling tall-tales. Lo and behold, someone did, as she’s found drowned in a large pail of bob-for-apples during a children’s Hallowe’en Party. Ariadne Oliver, a mystery author friend of Detective Hercule Poirot who was at the party, implores Poirot to solve it. Poirot steps in to investigate, and thinks there’s not one, but possibly two sinister murders.
Red herrings, lies, and it’s thrilling twists and turns kept my interest in guessing whodunnit.
The mystery was intriguing, and engaging with great plot twists. A short, quick read, perfect for this time of year.
